The first AI Community in Antwerp is born! Last week, history was made in Antwerp as the city’s first AI community came to life! In collaboration with key players Vectrix, Wobby, and ConversationStarter.net, we launched Antwerp’s inaugural AI meetup, a vibrant event where over 70 AI professionals, startups, and enthusiasts gathered to connect, cultivate, and collaborate.

A growing hub for AI innovation

The AI scene in Antwerp is booming, with numerous startups emerging in the city. However, until now, these innovators have lacked a central space to connect and share ideas. The launch of this AI community marks the beginning of a collaborative environment designed to strengthen the local ecosystem. Our goal? To put Antwerp on the map as a leading AI hub!

Joke Seghers, Managing Director at Brain Embassy, described the event as “a true incubator for innovation and collaboration.” This unique platform allows local AI startups and professionals to share insights, explore new possibilities, and build strategic partnerships.

Highlights from the first meetup

The first gathering was packed with inspiration and knowledge-sharing. Attendees were treated to three powerful keynotes from top AI experts, including a session by Rollo’s AI experts, Filip and Toon. They shared their experience leading a cutting-edge AI project that made a significant impact for one of their clients, walking the audience through the journey of bringing AI from Proof of Concept (POC) all the way to production. It was a valuable glimpse into the challenges and successes of AI integration, resonating deeply with businesses looking to harness the potential of AI in their own operations.

The networking session afterwards was a hit, with industry peers interacting over sushi to discuss the future of AI in Antwerp and beyond.
